Smoke, you may be on to something here. But, I still cannot believe that McCain has a decent shot of winning. But maybe those independents could put him over the top. I’d like to see him choose Huckabee as his running mate. Give me something to get excited about with the Republicans.

The argument that “if we leave, we will be weaker as a result,” is insanity. Why can’t it be a message to the real enemy that we’re refocusing our efforts on you? If we had a policy that was focused on the enemy and managed properly, they wouldn’t have much time to celebrate some fake propaganda victory because we pulled out of Iraq.

I don’t understand?You think we should pay as we go,don’t borrow money.But yet you think we should stay in a war that we have to borrow money to do.I keep hearing people talk about our “enemies”but this is very vague. Who are our enemies?The war was a personal thing for Bush and I think that is why there has been so many problems.I’m not afraid of big goverment, I’m afraid of bad goverment!

Good post, Smoke. At least the Democrats have a choice. We Republicans really didn’t have one. That really surprises me how McCain easily took the spoils. I still cannot however get excited about supporting the guy.

Although you paint an ugly picture if you look at the whole picture it’s change that American’s are looking for,not a man or woman,not black or white.It’s the people with narrow mind’s and pinhole thinking that feels this way! And some love to live on the negative.
