There is too much unhealthy fear of sexuality in this nation. This fear, championed by the religious right, is the source of all of our sex related problems; unwanted pregnancies, STDs, and so on…
I always find it funny when grown adults try and pretend like sex doesn’t exist. People who are too afraid to even acknowledge that it occurs. These are the same morons who try and ban pornography, support abstinence-only education, and think sex before marriage is bad somehow.
But since we consider these people silly, what about the normal people out there? At what age are you allowed to acknowledge sex? When does the context have to change? Do kids in school think their teachers don’t do it? Their principle?
A third employee of a suburban Chicago elementary school resigned today after a video surfaced showing two others having sex in the principal’s office.
I actually think this is kind of funny. I always enjoy seeing people seize the moment. Even if it is in an elementary school. What this article doesn’t say is who/why it was video taped, and at what time during the day was this? Was the door locked? Were kids in any danger?
If I stayed in a hotel room, a couple in the room next to me could be having sex and it wouldn’t be illegal or inappropriate. I could be 5 years old, but there’s a wall and a door separating me from strangers having sex.
If they kids could’ve walked in on the principle and teacher doing it, then I do believe it could be inappropriate, but if there is no danger of that… who cares?
Everyone has sex! I’ve had sex at school, isn’t that what you are supposed to do during recess?
I don’t see what the big deal is.
A separate portion of the tape shows another woman hugging and touching the same man.
So the principle is a player. Rap artists rap about this all the time in their songs, and we let kids listen to it. It isn’t as if sex is wrong.
Is it?
If so, then I don’t want to be right.
Enjoy.
