First, we need to understand that autism is a brain disorder. A neurological disease that normally is diagnosed between ages 2 and 3. Its symptoms are typically lack of communication and deficiency of social interaction. Experts tell us yhat,unfortunately, autism is a life long disorder. It cannot be cured, but it can be ameliorated with proper treatment.
There is a body of thought that believes that childhood immunizations may be a cause of autism. Many of these folks are against all vaccines.Thus thir evidence is flimsy, based more on emotion than empirical study. It is true that there is a fair amount of litigation along these lines. They also point out an increase in the number of autistic diagnoses.
The latter pont, opponents, claim, can be refuted by the fact that the disorder is better diagnosed than it used to be. The weight of the evidence, according to CDC, suggests that vaccines do not cause autism. However, CDC and other health agencies continue to probe this thesis.
